My name is Max Matzen and I am a professional trumpet player based out of Rochester, New York. I have performed at more than one hundred weddings in three different countries. I frequently play with various ensembles in Rochester including: the Rochester Philharmonic, the Eastman Wind Ensemble, and the Eastman Philharmonia.
The trumpet has been used throughout the world and throughout time to herald significant events. Having a trumpet accompany your wedding ceremony will help announce the beginning of your new life to the world.
If your ceremony is in a church, the trumpet will sound wonderful accompanied by the organ, or piano. If your ceremony is not in a church or will be held outdoors, a string quartet with trumpet, or a brass quintet could be a possibility. I would be happy to help you find additional musicians.
